Inland Moms had a spectacular time at the Wizard of Oz community event. We were so excited to be traveling to the Emerald City with Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto too.
It was great to see Glenda the Good Witch at Wizard of Oz! Our Favorite Glenda quote, “Home is a place we all must find, child. It’s not just a place where you eat or sleep. Home is knowing. Knowing your mind, knowing your heart, knowing your courage. If we know ourselves, we’re always home, anywhere”.
Scarecrow was so tall! Our favorite Scarecrow quote, “The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side. Oh joy! Rapture! I got a brain! How can I ever thank you enough?”
We Love the lion! Our favorite quote, “Come on, get up and fight, ya shivering junkyard! Put your hands up, ya lopsided bag o’ hay!”
We had to get a close up of Tin man’s makeup. He was our favorite! “Now I know I’ve got a heart, ’cause it’s breaking…”
The wicked Witch of the West! “Ring around the rosie, a pocket full of spears! Thought you were pretty foxy, didn’t you? Well! The last to go will see the first three go before her! And your mangy little dog, too!” She terrified us, but in a loving way!
The powerful Wizard of OZ was also there! “A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.”
Dorthy is lovely and stole our hearts! “There is no place like home.. There is no place like home…”
and Toto stole the show! Woof woof! Wizard of Oz – speaks to all of us in different ways!
